Give Today

We are truly grateful to those individuals and organizations who support our programs financially, as well as those who provide gifts in kind or a donation of their time.

Many of those who most need our services are in difficult financial circumstances and may be unable to pay fees for their services. Donations help us to extend our services to those most in need.

Areas of Support

General Donations

These funds are put to the area of most need at the time given and are typically applied towards subsidizing our counselling services and group programs, childminding expenses, or therapy resources.

Directed Donations

You are able to direct your donation to a specific division, if that work is of particular interest to you.  If donating by cheque, please make the cheque out to Catholic Family Services of Durham, and put which division you are directing the donation to in the Memo line.  We will be sure your donation is allocated thusly. You may also send a directed donation through our online donation platform, Zeffy.

New Building Fund - Hope Centre Durham Region

Imagine a happy, healthy community, where women and children can heal from abuse, individuals can receive the support they need for the emotional difficulties they are facing, couples and families can learn to express their feelings with kindness and honesty,  and parents can ask for and receive the support they need to nurture their children - all in one location. This is what you and the Hope Centre Durham Region will offer our community. More information is available in our Statement for Support (PDF). If you would prefer to e-transfer your gift, please use capitalcampaign@cfsdurham.com for any Hope Centre-specific gifts.

The Mustard Seed

This is a client-inspired, donor-driven initiative created to help meet the basic needs of our clients. The program allows clients to access support in the form of grocery gift cards to assist them in meeting their basic needs. The Sister Pat Grant Award

The Sister Pat Grant Award was established in 2004 to recognize the twenty-five years of service given by Sr. Patricia Grant, IBVM, MSW as the first Director of Catholic Family Services of Durham. The award assists with education expenses for a woman who is emerging from domestic violence. You can donate directly to this award.
